When life feels heavy...

Depression and anxiety can quietly take over your world - making everyday tasks feel like climbing a hill with no end in sight. You might wake feeling flat or restless or find your mind racing with worries you can’t switch off. You may look fine to others but inside you feel tired, disconnected or on edge.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Many people experience periods of low mood or anxious thoughts, often triggered by stress, loss, or difficult life experiences. Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint the cause - you just know something doesn’t feel right.

A gentle, emotion-focused space...

In my work, I offer emotion-focused and client-centred talking therapy - a gentle approach that supports you to explore what’s happening inside, at your own pace.

Rather than giving advice or labels, together we focus on understanding your emotions and experiences more deeply, creating a safe, confidential space where you can express what you might not feel able to say elsewhere - without judgment or pressure.

This way of working helps you reconnect with your natural capacity for self-understanding and healing. When emotions are met with compassion and curiosity they often begin to shift - bringing clarity, calm, and relief.

What therapy can help with...

Through counselling for depression and anxiety you can begin to:

Recognise how your emotions often begin as physical sensations - the tight chest, heavy stomach or restlessness that can accompany worry or sadness - and learn how to listen to what they are pointing towards

Notice the critical voice that can appear when you're struggling - and learn how to soften it with understanding rather than judgement

Understand your emotional triggers and patterns

Reduce feelings of overwhelm and constant worry

Build self-compassion and inner confidence

Strengthen your ability to cope with life’s challenges

Feel more grounded, balanced, and hopeful

Over time, clients often describe feeling lighter and more connected to themselves with greater trust in their own feelings and choices.

A holistic, trauma-informed approach...

I work in a holistic and trauma-aware way, recognising that emotional distress often shows up in both the mind and the body. By gently tuning in to what you feel, sense, and notice, therapy can help you find safety again - not just in your thoughts, but in your whole self.

You don’t have to face this alone

If you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm, therapy can offer a way forward. I offer a warm, confidential space where you can be fully heard and supported to understand yourself more deeply.

Whether you’re ready to start now or just curious about how therapy could help, you’re welcome to reach out for an initial conversation.

Together, we can begin to explore what you need to feel more at peace, present, and content again.
